Lately, in Campeche between 25 and 38 positive cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed each week, according to the General Directorate of Epidemiology (DGE), from January to week 26 of 2023, 587 patients have been treated.
However, the Federal Ministry of Health (SSA), through the DGE, highlights that the number of positive cases of the new coronavirus in the entity has decreased so far this year, unlike in 2022.
From January to the cutoff of July 2, 587 diagnoses were confirmed in 246 men and 341 women, on the other hand, for the same period of the previous year, the accumulated number was 12,744 cases attended; the difference has been up to 12 thousand 157.
At the national level the situation is similar, this year there have been 351,438 positive cases of Covid-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and in the same period of 2022 there were 2,108,996 cases.
In the entity, during week 23 of this year, from June 5 to 11, 26 new positives were detected, 29 in week 24, another 25 in week 25, and 38 in week 26, which spanned from June 26 to July 2nd.
The accumulated number of deaths so far in 2023 has been 12, five men and seven women, the last one was confirmed on June 13 corresponding to the female sex.
The sum of positive cases from March 2020 to July 2, 2023, is 45,138, of which 22,630 correspond to women, and 22,508 to men, according to data from the DGE.
And until the cutoff of June 25, 2023, a total of 2,303 deaths related to Covid had been registered, 38.43 percent corresponding to women, and 61.57 to men.
