After the murder of three workers of the Mexican Institute of Social Security IMSS in the city of Torreón, the Coahuila state government reported that two alleged perpetrators were detained.
Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís said at a press conference that it was Luis “N”, a nurse from the 16th IMSS Clinic in Torreón and sentimental partner of one of the deceased; and Luis “N”, a worker of the Torreón “Central de Abastos“.
On Thursday, May 7th, the lifeless bodies Araceli “N” and Cecilia “N”, who were working as nurses, and Dora “N”, a medical assistant at clinic 71 of the IMSS in Torreón, were located in a house of the Colonia Compresora, in the east of the municipality.
The State Attorney General’s Office reported that the line of investigation of robbery with violence is strengthened and ruled out that the triple murder is related to the fact that the victims were health workers.
Prosecutor Gerardo Márquez Guevara said that the alleged perpetrators are detained for various crimes and that they have been made available to the judicial authority since Saturday May 9th.
Márquez Guevara did not rule out the possibility that a third person could be involved in the murder.
