Hidalgo state governor tests positive for COVID-19


Hidalgo State Governor Omar Fayad confirmed that he tested positive for Covid-19 coronavirus.

The governor said he is already in quarantine; 10 days ago he was side by side with Andrés Manuel López Obrador at a morning press conference.

On Twitter, the governor reported that an examination was carried out that corroborated the diagnosis, so he is in quarantine at home.

He also said that he will not stop working during this period.

Fayad is the first Mexican governor to test positive for coronavirus.

Besides, he is the 13th case of coronavirus in the entity, which are concentrated in Pachuca, Tulancingo and Actopan.
