The Campeche State Transportation Regulatory Agency (ARTEC) has issued a pressing call to taxi carriers operating in San Francisco de Campeche to verify their information as the “Taxi Campeche” app begins field testing. According to an official statement from ARTEC’s General Directorate, interested parties can visit the agency’s offices Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., located at Ricardo Castillo Oliver Avenue in Ah-Kim-Pech.

During these verification operations, which are taking place across different municipalities in the state, ARTEC personnel may request documentation such as concession titles, insurance policies, physical and mechanical inspections, among other essential requirements. The agency has also reminded transporters that failure to provide valid documentation will result in sanctions in accordance with the Mobility and Road Safety Law of the State of Campeche and its Regulations.

The deadline for paying fees for 2025 has concluded, so from now on, full compliance with the required documentation is mandatory for all modes of public transportation. ARTEC has urged transporters to visit their offices as soon as possible to regularize their situation and avoid setbacks during field inspections, especially considering the technological advancement represented by the implementation of the new digital app.

The introduction of the “Taxi Campeche” app represents a significant step forward in regulating public transportation in the state. By ensuring that taxi carriers have verified information and are compliant with all necessary documentation, ARTEC aims to maintain the highest standards of safety and service for passengers.

As the app continues its testing phase, ARTEC is committed to providing support and clarifications regarding this process. Transporters are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to verify their information and avoid any potential consequences. By doing so, they will be able to ensure a smooth transition into the new digital era of public transportation in Campeche.
