The magical towns of Candelaria, Palizada, and Isla Aguada will be showcased during the Third International Fair of Magical Towns, which will take place from June 28 to 31 in San Antonio, Texas, USA, at the Henry B. González Convention Center. The purpose is to display their culture, tradition, gastronomy, and handicrafts.

According to the website pueblosmagicosinternacional.com, this is a hybrid event, meaning it takes place both in person and virtually with global reach for the promotion and commercialization of the tourist offerings of Mexico’s Magical Towns. There are 177 Magical Towns across the country, with Yucatán having 7, Quintana Roo 4, and Campeche 3, each recognized for their symbolic attributes.

The event will last three days, featuring the magical towns and their culture, tradition, gastronomy, and handicrafts, along with virtual content open for a year. Business meetings and agreements between service providers from the Magical Towns and specialized international buyers will also be established through the business platform.

An exhibition and sale of handicrafts will take place during the event and on the virtual platform for the commercialization of products originating from the magical towns. It is also highlighted that attendees at the event in the U.S. will be able to purchase trips to Mexico and make reservations for lodging and specialized routes in the Magical Towns.

The Tourism Secretariat of the state has stated that the main goal of participating is to boost tourism development in the mentioned localities, with the aim of improving the well-being of their inhabitants, maintaining and generating employment, encouraging investment, and making it profitable. The event will also be used to disseminate and promote the newly named Magical Neighborhood of San Román.
